Future “best dentist” or comparison content should use published criteria rather than hidden promotional placement. Relevant criteria can include verifiable provider information, services and clinical interests, access, communication, continuity, location and publicly available reputation signals.
Dentist profiles
Individual dentist profiles should be based on verifiable public information, information supplied directly by a provider, or clearly attributed sources. Education, registration, specialty status and other material claims should be checked before publication.
Commercial disclosure
If a dentist, clinic, sponsor or partner pays for placement, advertising, a profile or another commercial relationship, that relationship should be disclosed in a way readers can understand. Payment should not be disguised as independent ranking methodology.
Medical and dental content
Articles are educational and general. They cannot diagnose a reader, determine candidacy or replace an examination by a licensed dental professional.
